Daryl was exposed to “religion” as a young child during his great grandmother’s weekly family dinners. After her passing, his religious and family influences waned. Fast forward to being deployed to the middle east while serving in the US Army. He still had that void and anger in his heart but for the first time began to read the bible and formulate questions about God in his mind. After his honorable discharge from the Army he tried to patch up his failing marriage, but was still empty and continued searching for meaning in his life. He then connected with an old high school friend who he believes help lead him to “the truth,” and is now his helpmate. Daryl shares how he finally became saved and how God has led him to serving in his church.
